An experience to behold!

Christina8

As I sit here I see roses kissed by the morning dew,

I hear jazz playing in the background.

Love and cafe au lait are on my lips.

My love of 20 years by my side....

The crowds are not annoying

They just are....A bird sings her song

And then I hear a saxophone play "Tennessee Whiskey"

And I want to drop everything and dance with my love.

The beignets are okay, the crepes are good

but the shrimp bisque is to die for!

Bananas foster flambed at our table

This truly is one of my favorite cities.

New Orleans!!

  • Comment from author about the poem: So we just got back from New Orleans and today is our 20th anniversary. Just had so much going on I couldn't put together a rhyming poem if I wanted to. Never did a free style poem I don't think but thats what you have here today. We even had a professional photo shoot in the french quarter which I can't even begin to describe! Just happy to be home.

After those flights (I am terrified of flying) I am glad to be home too but I did very much enjoy new orleans and when I get it together I may be able to write about it in rhyme in the coming days. 🙂 Thanks for your reply!

I've never been on a plane, I would probably be terrified also

Dion used to live in Louisiana when he was younger, I've always wanted to go to new Orleans, I always thought that would be beautiful
