Love #1

Saxon Crow

Love

Love given to your partner

Love given to your family

Love of one's own country

Love for ones own vanity

Passionate love

Secret love

Misguided love

Unrequited love

Love that never dies

Then there is love you show through affection

Or the love you show through your eyes

I love you

You love me

We love each other

Love sets us free

Love gives you strength

Love tears you apart

Love gives you wings

Love breaks your heart

Love can be rash

Love can be calm

Love can be impulsive

Love protects from harm

Love, love, love

Just an empty word

But so full of meaning

When subjectively heard

I heard that too - All You Need Is Love. Love Is All You Need.

    • Saxon Crow

Maybe because of the line love, love, love?

I'm a bit more pragmatic in life and think you need more than just love haha

      'Love for ones own vanity
      Passionate love'..
(that these two lines, are so - aligned
      will give a psychiatrist
      months, of 'billable' hours
to mess you up with, I think..)
      lol
      forgive me, I couldn't resist
      a little jest
      but I meant no disrespect..
      (a lovely, write
      and soothing read
      those four, subtle letters
      and that single, syllable word
      amount, to so much
in helping nurture, our lonesome hearts)..
      thanks for sharing, dear poet

All true but most importantly - love teaches us.

Great poem to get us all thinking about the love which fills our lifes.

      • Rocky Lagou

Amazing. That rhyme you sustained is wonderful as well. Love means different things to different people as you suggest, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Great poem!

Love the strongest and most powerful feeling in the the world it is a pity that love is not within everybody, if it was the world would be sublime.
