Food for Thought

Saxon Crow

I'll have a spoonful of courage

With my coffee please

A little bit of honour with my toast and cheese

A nice bite of purpose to set me up

A soupcon of clarity before this day does start

Around about lunchtime Ill have morality pie

Followed by a dose of truth to prevent any lie

And then a little later I will snack on kindness

And to stop me regressing I'll eat some steadfastness

When it's time for dinner I'll swallow my humility

Then right before bed I'll have some gratitude tea

And as I'm falling asleep in the comforting dark

I'm happy in the knowledge I know how to feed my heart

I can feed of this forever, and never fear of having too much, and so I’ll read it a few more times and make sure I have the recipe right.

Literally immaculate. I mean the entire metaphor is genius. Food for though AND soul. I'll print this and pin it by my bedside, as a reminder.
