Diversity

Fay Slimm.

Diversity.

Ah glorious Word,
whose love-tongue sang beauty
to life's variety
by arranging all homo in ranges
of basics, thy drums
beat out humanity's multiplicity
and now thunder
when ignorance disdains proof.

Oh Word, praise to thee
who voiced thine Self into  gross
sameness eons
ago to teach needed difference
by creative diversity

that loves wonder in changes.

    there is undoubted, otherworldly
    genius
and design in our diverse, make-ups..
    despite
    some zealot mindset's, convinced
    their
    narrow minded, blinkered versions
    of supposed, righteousness
    is all the Truth, we
    All
    need, in Our world..
    sadly
    diversity, doesn't equate
    when made to-fit
    under duress
    to a single
    perception of worth
    in a life...
    Equal status and respect
    for all, life!
    'thunder
    when ignorance disdains proof.

    Oh Word, praise to thee
who voiced thine Self into gross
    sameness eons
    ago to teach needed difference
    by creative diversity'
    (a wonderful write, and message
    dear Fay, thank you!)

This is beautiful Fay. Our world is in desperate need of change and acceptance. Because of people's distorted preconceptions and prejudices it can feel like those who aren't "normal" or simply in the minority are the ones causing this mess. But in reality it is the ones who can't accept change. Love is love, despite who it is for, and skin is skin, despite the color.

Unity in Diversity, the politicians drum it into the public which is made up of many races and religions in Malaysia. But the politicians draw up the diverse laws! A great write Fay.

Such good words Fay, if we were all the same in this world life would be so boring.
