Another Day

Accidental Poet

The clock strikes midnight

Giving birth to a new day

The date advances by one

Turning yesterday into today

What transpired only hours ago

Now belongs to the past

The present forever pulls

On seconds ever so fast

Another day

Another chance

Spin the wheel of fortune

Smiles leads to a happy dance

Having faith

In today’s outcome

The smile of tomorrow

And where it came from

And speaking of tomorrow

That’s still a day away

Another chance

Another day

    Good write AP.
    My version goes:
    Another day
    Filled with horror and darkness
Cos I'm gonna sing again!! heehee.
I only do it to annoy KP. That'll teach her to spend nearly all my money on her Botox. lol.

Nearly all your money? I thought she had all your money Orchi. Turn the tables on KP, buy stock in Botox. 😄

How true A.P. that time whizzes past and we have to admit that days fly into morrows often too quickly - a read full of food for thought and thank you for posting it.

      • Accidental Poet

Thank you Fay for reading and commenting. 😊

I love this, what a powerful message on encouragement. The title reminds me of one of my favorite Lady Gaga songs called "Just Another Day," I recommend it, it's really peppy.

You know Rocky, I looked for a video to go with this entry. Found only two, neither of them were lady Gaga's. And they didn't seem to fit my poem. But I will check out LG's. 😊

Each day is so special in our live AP.

"Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday"

          Andy

And found out that the worrying was nothing to worry about. And the day ended with a smile. 😊 Thanks for the read and comment Andy.
