There’s trouble in the Old Country;
BREXIT voters now know their fate.
Is life not going too smoothly?
It can only get better….. just wait.
No skill to assess your options,
But the choice was made anyway;
Now please just get on and sort it -
You know every dog has its day.

Great sentiments - still not sure if Bexit is the problem or if it's the failure of an incompetent Government to manage the process - but either way the bed's been made.
Agreed, Michael – the bed has been made. But it seems no one (not here anyway) appears to learn from its history (Dave banging on about history again) in order to not make the same mistake again. Cameron, so weak, couldn’t make the right decision on behalf of his constituents, turned the decision over to them – despite the fact that the majority of registered voters would have no idea of the complexities of the workings of an intensely interrelated world (not sure I did, but was at least aware of my ignorance).
Add to the mix the relatively impoverished once industrial North - Thatcher has a lot to answer for (now, would you believe touted as an environmentalist, because she took on the miners –aaah) as she turned industrial wealth to capital wealth – which produces nothing, but makes the south look resplendently wealthy.
PS: Who says the Govt is incompetent? Isn’t there a better descriptor……?
well said, like the ending because every dog will have their day.
Thanks Raven - you picked out a note of optimism which, given your back catalog, must be hard for you.
I wish you all the best.
your welcome Dave, it was a good read.
The country is becoming a mess because those in power do not worry about the people only about what they can get out of it themselves!!!!
Andy
Perhaps you should ask why and how those in power got there in the first place..... never mind - your poetry is so full of optimism, I cannot see how your assessment here figures.
I hope you continue to enjoy life.
Don't have any right to make any comment on Brexit, but I do know that governments themselves are all somewhat incompetent
Is this a subtle hint that I don't either? Never mind - I will anyway!
For me it is imperative to attempt to understand what is going on in the world and the processes (the History I'm always banging on about) which lead us (I still have some interest in the UK) to where we are now. I'm always up for the debate, even if it puts others offside......
PS: I have to make the assumption that you live in the UK, although there is nothing to place you on your home page...........
No live part time in the U.S. and part time in Brazil
Well, surprise! Surely you have some personal tales to tell....?
it seems you got it write you old dog .. and there's them that reckon you can't teach an old one new tricks ..... N
I manage, Nev - still got 90%, nah, 95% of me marbles anyway.
Good to see you back.....
I can't really comment on the political stuff. We are kind of isolated over here and trying to be more so. I will say that your little ditty, I found to be humorous, well written, and I like the rhyming. - Phil A.
Oh come on - of course you can - but it might not be politic. I certainly have plenty of opinions on America. but do try to keep them to myself..... 😊
Take care of yourself, Phil
