As Easy as Breathing

Accidental Poet

A ten-year-old Saxon Weiss

An age when things begin to happen

Inspiration seedlings start to grow

Paths of the heart are starting

Journeys through life

Sure to bring a smile

Giving it all you’ve got

Down each and every mile

A boy so fortunate

To play the guitar

As easy as breathing

The evolution of a star

What I wouldn’t have given

For the talent in that young boy

If that could’ve been me

At his age with a new guitar toy

Growing up with music

I learned to like

From the Beatles to Sinatra

Two extremes for a little tyke

Love, the usual in music

Romance had all ears listening

Pulled in both directions

But for one my heart was glistening

Music had caught my ears

But more so, love caught my heart

Combining the two

Would’ve completed my art

Putting music to my words

For Sharon’s heart to hear

Back in the day

When she was here

I got a challenge for you, about breathing
Try not breathing for 24 hours. I did it, but didn't feel well after it. Doh! lol.
Wish KP would stop breathing old trout-breath.

    • Accidental Poet

Well Orchi, after not breathing for 24 hours I'm quite sure you didn't look too well either. Have you looked in the mirror lately? Oh, sorry, you told me you looked in the mirror and scared yourself. But if you turned blue you might want to pay a visit to your Doctor. 😬

      • orchidee

Oh woe, I got no mirrors left. They all shattered when KP looked in them. lol.

Pick up that guitar AP and play for Sharon.

        Andy

        • Accidental Poet

I can pick it up Andy, but playing it is another story. But I am going to look into taking some lessons. πŸŽΈπŸ‘

An extremely emotional and touching write

Thanks peto, I desperately want to play my guitar, but the learning process is so intimidating for me.

              Accidental musician in the making?

              • Accidental Poet

hahaha, well, lets see how the lessons go first. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘But thanks.

This is what it's all about my dear A.P ❀️

Yes Teddy, you're right. I'm going to see about lessons next week. I just can't understand how that boy in the video can be so good at playing the guitar at so young an age, and I've always felt so intimidated by the learning process. Thank you for reading and commenting. 🎸😬

                  • Teddy.15

It comes from within it's a gift that's genetic with a huge pump of passion, that's what I believe anyway. ❀️

I've tried to learn the guitar in the past and couldn't do it. But the desire is still strong in me so I'm going for it again. Thanks for the encouragement my dear poetic friend. 🎸🌹

                      Music gives words another string,
My wife tells me Michael Jackson couldn't play, but man, he could sing.
Like the gift to the poet, it comes from the heart,
Sing him a tune, it will add to your art.

                      • Accidental Poet

Sing? ooh, aah you'd probably rather hear Orchi sing than I. πŸ€”

This piece hit me from the beginning when the Name Weiss was mentioned it matched my family on my mother's side that came from
Switzerland. As for playing I took violin, piano, learned the harmonica and tried the accordion but never fully mastered any. I tried the guitar but was too lazy to learn, besides I found that it hurt my fingers. But through it all I have learned to read and write music and have a deep appreciation for music of all types. A most lovely write with a bit of sadness at the end. Loved it.

Thanks for reading and commenting soren. Yes, I first fell in love with Sharon at the same age as Saxon Weiss in the video here was 10 years old. Then at 14, she had to move away with her family to Los Angeles. But she's always been the only one to reach the core of my heart. I'm now 67 years old and more than ever still in love with her. Much of my poetry here is written for her. This one speaks of the wish to add music to my words for her that I could play for my own pleasure. Thanks for your visit today soren. I do appreciate the read and comment. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Thanks Christina, I watched the video of the young boy Saxon Weiss playing the guitar like a pro, and all I could think of was how I wished i had his talent at his young age and maybe impress Sharon before she moved away. πŸŽΈπŸ˜πŸ‘
