Tribute To Mom And Dad

Accidental Poet

You’re always there

Within the reach of my mind

And even closer in my heart

Of most treasured confines

We didn’t always see eye to eye

But life isn’t always as expected

Eventually it all works out

As in due time on it is reflected

As I grew older

I left behind my immature ways

Learning to be an adult

Living with your pride today

While growing up

Not always appreciating the life I had

These days are much different

As I pay tribute to Mom and Dad

We don’t always fully appreciate what we have till it’s gone. Then it really hits us. This is a beautiful tribute to your mom and dad AP. Very nicely penned and your posted music was most fitting. Well done.

Yes Cassie, when we're young we don't understand the meaning of appreciation until maturity sets in. Such was true with my parents and I. But I feel in my heart that they know I feel indebted to them. Thank you for reading and your comments. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
