Jack-o-lantern love,
stabbed by the autumn leaves;
bleeding all burnt orange and sienna.
And it smells like
cloves and vanilla,
and loneliness. Kaleidoscope confusion,
that dog bite pain
in my soul.
I don my navy blue corduroy,
as I bundle up for
the great void.

I don't know quite what it is precisely, but your imagery is fabulous! From the subtle, haunting, exquisite poignancy to that imagery, you've rendered this charming beauty with a disarming simplicity which leaves it basking in perfection. Thank you very much for sharing!
