Arrived in the post for me
I never knew Christmas was in November
I thought it was some card maybe
Relating to Remembrance or something
But you know how it is
Christmas trees in shops in September
Or thereabouts
And hot cross buns and Easter eggs around January
Oh, I dunno what day, what year,
What century it is sometimes
I must have forgotten
To add water to my tipple
And it made me confused
You got that Christmas tree up yet?
You got those decorations up?
Now I'm sure....
It's Christmas next week - Eh?! (lol)

That’s early for Christmas cards. We don’t do Christmas until mid December in our household. As for the tree, that doesn’t go up until a week before. You reminded me of my Nan. She kept her decorations up until March each year because they were so pretty. A fun write and thanks for the memory of my Nan Orchi.

Mebbe I'm guilty? Prolly. Ever since the alleged reason was soundly debunked I call it Xmas anyway. And since my annual pleasure is not allowed until our Thanksgiving week and thereafter, I'm still waiting.
That said, tis a lovely bit of charming humor frae you, considering your recent loss. Charming and too excellently rendered with lovely imagery and a lively poignancy. Thank you very much for sharing.
