i do not know
if bamboo wind chimes
ward off evil spirits
maybe they do
or whether they entice
souls of the departed
to revisit their loved ones
all things considered
but as I sit in this garden
with a light breeze blowing
on a true blue sky day
in blistering heat
i hear music
there is something so
satisfying in the gentleness
of that subtle hollow sound
of canes clacking softly
while suspended from
a beam on our deck
close your weary eyes
take a long deep breath
be still and hear nature’s notes
her unique playful
composing
imagine being in Bali
barefoot and fancy free
beside the mountains
far far away where all
concerns are going going
gone
wind stirs in strands
of uncombed holiday hair
not a care in the world
drift in thought flight
all is well, all is peace

It's a blistering storm rather, today. lol.
A sharp contrast we are having from the heat of Bali. The weather has been so awful, I resurrected this poem from my archives. Thank you Orchi.

Hello David. I love wind chimes too. Pleased you enjoyed the wind music here in this poem. Many thanks for stopping by.
Wind chime music can be beautiful and satisfying. I unfortunately live too close to others to allow me the indulgence of ownership. Your piece gave me much vicarious pleasure though, Cassie β thanks.
What a beautiful review Dave. Pleased you enjoyed my efforts. Thank you so much. Resurrected because the weather here has been the pits.
It's a small world, Cassie - the weather here hasn't been too clever either.
Well, I hope I brought you a little sunshine. It is abysmal here and has been for three days.
Stick with what you do know, how gorgeous is your imagery, I was floating into my own summertime memories for a moment. πΉ
Thank you dear Teddy. The weather here has been so drear, cold and wet, I thought a trip to Bali might do the trick. Pleased it sent you floating on your own memories. πΉ
