Still Art For Artโ€™s Sake

Still Art For Art’s Sake

There are bits of me that

clearly

don’t work anymore and

are therefore,

more or less redundant ..

Yet still,

all that is missing today are

a set of fine

sable hair brushes, a pen,

a note-pad,

a box of assorted pastels,

a place with a

view and job lot of canvasses ..

I find it takes the edge off things .. a bit like zazen but with a touch of colour .. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Another rabbit hole (gotta humanely dispose of the rabbit)โ€ฆ. I would have to follow your example (if rhyming verse weren't enough) as the Lotus Position and arthritic joints arenโ€™t really compatible.....

You'll always be welcome - plenty of spare bedrooms - just say the word.

I could let you have most of those except the canvases Neville but I could probably get them from my daughter.

Stunning poem; felt like telling me that one's regret of dying creativity is compelling him to be uniquely creative.. beautiful perspective...loved it!

Your creative side always shines through Neville . Whether words in your poetry books or paint on canvas or pastel drawings. Once creative, you donโ€™t lose it. Itโ€™s always there even if you havenโ€™t painted or drawn in pastels for a while. ๐Ÿ’œ

The makings of an artist. Whether paint or print the color comes through. Well done, mate.

If only I'd not initially taken up that form of art I might join you, but having already dabbled in it, I'll leave it to you others whose hopes in such fair prospects have still a leg to stand on. I prefer sonnets, for myself. Daintily rendered with excellent imagery and a teasing poignancy, thank you for sharing.

Each to their own as my mother once used to say often .. thanks for calling Missy .. Neville
