A faded silhouette, canopy of trees through clouds
ghosts raising out of graves, buried long past
Images of dreams clothed in shrouds
dissolve and reemerge as if shifting sea foam vast
Gray is the day, splotches of mottled green
Dim light peers through mist's parted sheets
Chamber music, in call of birds not seen
echoes 'or narrow trails, nature's cobblestone streets
Breaking sun's egg yolk, pours through gaps
painting dark shade golden
running through rent cottony wraps
revealing life with bright liquid light molten

A fine write SB.
Thanks so much Orchi your read is most appreciated
Absolutely stunning imagery and so joyful at the end, in Tuscany we have these exact moments early in the morning this time of year, wonderful poetry as yours always is my dear sorrenbarret perfectly composed in a scene. ๐น
Thank you so much my friend for your most generous review. I was standing on my porch looking at this scene yesterday and could not help but put it down in words. Your words of support are deeply moving
I don't know if it's surrealism, but that's the image I got.
Thanks so much, yes that is what I thought myself as I watched it pass by yesterday.
Even though it is dark and no doubt dreary by me (we in the Northeast US need the rain)โฆyou helped me see the sunrise and got me hungry for breakfast at the same time! Love that description of the sun rays! Well done, Soren!. ๐น๐
Thank you Tristan for the review and kind words. I don't take pictures anymore just write about them.
Stunning imagery of the sun breaking through the mist at dawn. Have seen that so many times on the river and it really is ghostly in its appearance. A word painting Soren. Just wonderful.
Thank you so much Cassie I used to take lots of photos of everything but now I take no more if I see something I think beautiful I write about it instead.
exquisite ink almost blindingly so .. Neville ๐๐

Andy
Thank you so much Andy your words are most appreciated
I am loving the ephemeral beauty of a misty morning, where the interplay of light and shadow creates a sense of magic and wonder. The emphasis appears to be the fleeting and transformative moments in nature, where the mundane becomes extraordinary!
Thank you so much Cryptic. I guess that fairly well describes the mood I was in when I was watching this from a distance of my porch. Thank you for your most accurate observation and review.
For me that is the best time of the day to rise from slumber, just before morning light peeps through the darkest of dawn.
This was a no brainer to favorite.
I thank you most humbly for your most kind words
Wish I had command of the metaphoric descriptive phrase the way you do - props my friend. Sun as a yolk - lets out thst in a tee shirt
Bobby your kindness brightens my day. Thank you for your most generous words of encouragement my friend.
