It happens all the time,
People try to impress others,
Impress them by what they have.
They may dress well,
Live in posh houses,
Drive big flashy cars,
But it just does not work,
Does not work for me.
All I want to see
Is for people to be good.
I have a respect for those,
Those who have a pure heart
And are filled,
Filled with good intentions,
Good intentions for all.

Spot on Andy - I have friends from all walks of life and its not about wealth or status - it's about behaviour and respect for others.
Yes Michael it is so true, thank you.
Andy
This is so true, you can wrap up crap in a nice fancy paper to make it look good, but when you look inside it is still crap, enjoyed the read
Thank you Tobani, much appreciated.

'Tis true Gold. Also the hymn 'Blessed are the pure in heart' based on Jesus' own words.
Thank you Orchi.
A write from the heart simply put. Hard to find now days where people feel inadequate due to high expectations that often go unmet. Where keeping up with the Jones' is a mark of success. I see those trying to impress as those too weak to accept who they are, too lazy to change it and too blind to be humble. Such people deserve a degree of pity
Totally agree soren, it is what is in your heart that is important in life.
Andy
Very well said dearest Andy. I couldn't agree more πΉ
Most king Teddy, thank you.

Wonderful words of reflection Andy. Material possessions are insignificant in the overall picture. What you own counts for nowt. Meaningful words. A fine write.
