No.3 from JANUARY WRITES

Michael Edwards

No.3 from JANUARY WRITES

Twas the first of his poems that I had seen

and I found it a very intriguing rhyme.

The opening word sure set the scene

and the final word was quite sublime

but I didn’t care much for the words in between.

As Sir Thomas Beecham said Michael, in any music only the first not and the last note are important except with Mozart where every note is important.

Yes I've heard this said - mind you as I've said before Beethoven is my composer of choice. - I find Mozart a tad too 'romantic' for my taste (if that;'s the right word.

Godo write M. lol. And 'smiles' is a very long word - there's a 'mile' between the first and last letters. And why is 'abbreviation' such a long word?! heehee.

This one was great Michael. I've had sadwiches like that and read poems like that. All bread and no meat is dissapointing

🤣 Not so short and sweet then, I've had days like this and other things too. 🌹

This one made me smile. Nicely done. A fine write.

Hahaha, nothing like the two ends with distasteful filling twixt. Rendered with subtle wry humor, and beautifully at that, I love how you present the less than savory reality tastefully. Thank you for sharing.
