1,2, &  3  from 575s and 57577s

A place to ponder

with vast views across mountains

in silence and peace.

Dry stone walls which dip

in valleys like arteries

lead the roving eye

to follow unending scenes

which time does not extinguish.

Earliest autumn

idyllic meditations

warm and benign days.

Good write and pic M. You checked those (sylla) berles here?! I'm learning a bit about art - vanishing points, perspectives, etc.

  • Cheeky Missy

Beautifully rendered with exquisite imagery and a none too subtle haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Adept at either length or depth, a truly gifted ‘quilling.’ 👍🏻🙏🏻🕊

    • Michael Edwards

Cheers and would you believe I still use an old fashioned ink pen and have run out of blotting paper - also do use a quill sometimes in my artwork - love the unpredictability of it as it splashes on the paper.

Yep, I remember the grubby nails and fingers as I began training in calligraphy between 9-10 years of age…. All those nibs and cursives,! 👍🏻🙏🏻🕊

Oh dear Fibonacci numbers, mining for bit coin? lol This one has more depth to it that needs mining and smelting and refining. A gold mine perhaps.

Such an elegant response which could be turned into a super 575 by your skilled pen I'm sure.

Which ever way you go your poetry is superb 🌹

You have delivered well here. Fine poetry. I like your serious. Happy Sunday.

Good ones Michael, I would interpret them as Haiku, Tanka, Senryu.

          Andy

          • Michael Edwards

I think you may be right Andy - being a bit of a coward I always hesitate to give them names as there will always be a pedantic purist out there who might take issue.

A fine write, and I see in the comments, that is your artwork too? Bravo! Superb work all round.

            • Michael Edwards

Yes - all the pictures that accompany my poems are mine - I'm an artist first and foremost - thanks from looking in Tom.

I am so impressed, Michael. Art is one of those things, I would love to be able to do. Like playing the piano. Very well done on both the painting and the poems.
