No1 from MORE OF THE DIFFERENT
(My latest collection of shorties)
Nothing for dinner yesterday
and nothing for dinner tonight
I thought I’d made enough for two days
but I’m starving so something’s not right.

There may be nothing for dinner but there is plenty in this short helping of poetry. Clever in both meaning and metaphor and even more clever in wording with rhyme a fave
Thanks s - appreciate your kind comment.
Happy to send you bread and wine ๐คฃ although I find humour in this, the current situation in the UK makes me feel nervous for those I love. ๐น

A very clever 4-liner. Made me laugh. - Phil A.

I have some bread and dripping if you would like it Michael.
Andy
I love bread and dripping - does the younger generation even know what it is?
Something up with portion control Michael. Who ate all the food? Have you got a dog by any chance? Hope youโve eaten by now. Love your artwork. Is that your own?
Thanks Cassie - yes all the pictures that accompany my poems are mine - I'm a practising artist although slowing down these days as age dictates and yes - I've got a dachsund, Stanley - the greediest loveliest little fella you could wish for.
