Well it is here,
The longest day is here,
What shall I do with it?
Dawns early light came,
The birds called to me.
Out I went to join them,
The beautiful morning
Bringing joy to me.
As I walked along the path
The green trees shading me,
Shading me from the sun.
The sun that gets higher,
Higher and brighter.
The temperature rises,
The shade protecting me.
I arrive by the lake,
I sit and look out,
Look out over the water,
The clear green water.
The swans glide on it
I just sit and look,
Look at the peace before me,
Bringing peace to my mind.
The light lasts so long,
So long on this day,
A day to be savoured,
As I enjoy my life,
My life of peace and love,
On this day,
This longest day.

I thought it was tomorrow, 21st? Last year it was 20th, as there was an extra day for leap year.
True Orchi but it was celebrated last night at our Chapel.

Thank you Teddy, yes it is very hot, I prefer the cold and start moaning when it gets above 15. LOL
