Use that brain cell or three

orchidee

Woof! use that brain cell - or three

Says Fido to me, all this:

Try to work out at least some

Of the cryptic meanings in poems

If ya just can't work them out

Pass them to me to de-crypt

Though I say, modestly, and you know it too

That I know 99% of everything

The woofy fount of all knowledge

Well, almost all

I don't want to brag about it!

Cos you've got the other 1%

And he goes on, to me:

Ya must have more than one brain cell

For them to communicate with each other

Though I expect you've a maximum of three

Only telling ya the truth, ya know

I'm not insulting ya here!

Fido knows - he means well! LOL

Orchi a great write we have all suffered the plight. A poem too cryptic to discern only later to learn that the author too didn't know what he was trying to show. So don't feel bad if you don't understand the reader has the upper hand. It's the reader not author that has the key when it comes to poetry. Please excuse the ditty.

Thank you SB. Yes, we might get so cryptic that we, the poem's author, dunno what we're on about! lol.

Dogs. They were working up a fine howling crescendo Friday morning at the veterinary office, one rather young German Shepherd driving it all cuz he was absolutely terrified. Charming and excellently rendered, thank you for sharing.

Cryptic meanings = metaphors, in my book, Fido. Please include that in your new corrective programme. When are you going to operationalise it, and will we see improvements in orchidee's contributions here?

                • orchidee

Thank you D. That's the best you get from Orchi in his Sir NS mode - says Fido. lol.

So cryptic poems now Orchi, is that the same as when you invented the wheel with four corners?

                    Andy

                    • orchidee

Thank you Gold. lol. I don't write cryptic poems myself, but I did invent that wheel with four corners. Doh!

Don't feel bad about that we have all felt that way , the reader can interpret it any way they want to, just like a song, each one has a different meaning to different people, enjoyed the read
