In that case, says Fido
You CAN say some long words
If you profess 'I CAN'T say NO long words'
Oh, you know all the grammatical stuff, Fido
The double negatives, and all that rubbish. lol.
But I can't say ANY long words
They all seem to end in 'wotsit'
Or 'thingy', or 'watcha-ma-call-it'
I mean, those iambic penta-thingys (pentameters)
And meta-wotsically speaking in some poems (metaphorical)
And I hardly get the meaning of any cryptic-watcha-ma-call-it (crypticness)
And who's Joe Bloggs (a UK expression only for 'any man'?)
And have they caught Bill Stickers yet?
Or his mate Bill Posters?
They're gonna be prosecuted
Why, what they done?!
This must cease, says Fido
These prehistoric, corny jokes
It's only you that still laughs at them these days
He says to me
As you've told us them 5 million times!
And this must stop too -
Using a thousand words when 5 will do!
Heehee.

Prehistoric jokes are real knee slappers they pack the power that would considered politically incorrect today. Love em real knockouts. Always enjoy your writes my friend.
Thank you SB. lol.
Always most welcome my friend your writes make the day brighter
Orchi, you and Fido have done it again! 🤣 Poor Fido is pleading for brevity, grammatical sanity, and retirement of the prehistoric jokes…while you respond by spending an entire poem refusing all three requests. 😂 And now Bill Stickers and Bill Posters are apparently facing prosecution! Somebody call the bailiff…I may already have a courtroom available. 🤣 Great fun, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️
Thank you T. lol.
