Love Softly Felt

dbremner

Silence filled the room

For he could not find

The words, to describe

Her beauty

She smiled so sweetly

That he longed to hold

Her tender body

Against his own

So when her hand

Fell upon his shoulder

His heart moved

For he'd felt her love.

Wow. That was sweet! How romantic. Did they live happily ever after too?

Normally, I don't go for free verse, but this is masterfully done. The imagery is....very vivid. I love it.
