Spring enters so subtly....a mist,
Love wafting a sweet scent of Life:
We open our hearts eager to it,
As earth for the showers so rife.
Summer's sultry, pesty, yet free,
Brazenly bold, too short, yet long:
Life flourishing, Love ripening,
Playful, lazy, romantic song.
Autumn's a'flurry of harvest,
Pungent leaves crackling underfoot;
Eager in Life's abundant fruits
Love's heart now quiv'ring in smudgy soot.
Winter cruelly chills, but snowflakes sweet
Delicately soften brief death:
Life buried, Love longing, we muse......
Bare world frost exquisitely decked.

- Comment from author about the poem: Having a couple quatrains on winter and summer, I sat down to make a poem of them with the addition of a spring and autumn quatrain each, but ended up with a whole 'nother 'poem' of its own......

Nice. I like your style of writing. The reader is drawn in on your every word... its quite relaxing and re-refreshing.
Thank you very much....this is such a simplistic piece...as I guess probably all my stuff is....thanks for your input and friendliness...and such a high rating.
