Spring Flowers

dbremner

Tiny spring flowers

Pushing up through the brown earth

Breaking winters grasp

Rich and precious jewels

Lending colour to the land

In splurges of joy

And scent for the air

Carried by the spring-time breeze

Like perfume for hope

Such is the power

Of small and tiny flowers

And soon they'll be here.

Ah, too sweet....such a welcome picture you've so delightfully drawn in this beautiful piece! Tenderly capturing their delicate allure, for which our winter-bound selves (mine, anyway) long. This almost wafts the fragrance for which we pine, in the scene you've painted now. Excellent! I love it!

Awww I love this. 🙂 I mostly write more depressing poems, because I seem to know more about that, so I love to read happier poetry. It makes me smile, and this was really nice. 🙂
