Tick Tock

Emi

Tick Tock

Cries the clock

Taunting is each click

Laughing at me

Time goes by

Without a sound

Without a sign

Certainly going too fast

November to now

Isn’t it December?

I can never remember

Too hard to keep track

Feels like a minute

Lasts a day

Before I know it

I’m old and worn

Tick Tock

Cries the clock

Taunting is each click

Laughing at me

Excellent. Beautifully done! You aptly portrayed the speeding time...when as you say, "...you most want it to slow down." The funny thing is, the old saying that "time flies when you're having fun" and half the time any more we are not, yet it flies nonetheless....excepting when we suffer, then every second is an hour, every minute a millennium.

This is absolutely BRILLIANT, one of the best poems I have ever read here - I really mean that!
You have perfectly captured what I tried to in the fifth part of my poem 'Life'.
Well done this is great poetry.

I can't say smart things here, like everyone else, 'cause I don't know how. But what I can tell you is the truth. When I was reading your poem, I was very struck by it, and when I finished, my smile was a mile wide. It's honestly beautiful!~

Awwww thank you so much!!!! 🙂 I never know how to really write insightful comments either.... So I generally just write stuff like "This is awesome!" or something like that. 🙂
