The church bell rings
Ding, dong, dong, dong
Flat, cold, lifeless, pointless
Sounding out across this town
I hate that bell
I despise it
I'd smash it if I could
Into a thousand pieces
But what would be
The point in that
The people still would flock
And make that bell a martyr
And I would watch
Them pouring in
Dressed in Sunday finest
Denying their existence
"You can't do that"
"You must do this"
Utter bourgeois rubbish!
Spewing down from the pulpit
Then I'd stand up
And roar at them
"Can't you see your freedom
Your terrifying freedom"
There is no need
To gather here
In utter mauvaise foi
And perfect self denial
Go - live your lives
Give yourself - meaning
There is no need for God
Freedom is condemnation.

Very contrary to common belief. I like it. 🙂 I happen to share the same views as expressed in this poem. I love the last line - "Freedom is condemnation". 🙂
Excellently written....are you genuinely expressing your beliefs? While churches have long been preaching false gospels, devilishly enslaving people, that is according to God's Word by His prophets.....why did you go so far as to eliminate God?
