I Luv U 2

Cheeky Missy

"A Fortnight of Valentines"---my latest (crazy)whimsy....a collection of sappy sonnet (attempts), fraught with redundancy, and so hastily executed and crafted by imaginative fancy as to hopefully not be too repulsive to the reader.  And yes, fairly UNedited, presently.

Day eight

(sonnet attempt #XXIV)

XXIV

It's all the little things, sweet Valentine,
That make me catch my breath, heart skip a beat,
That make my eyes so wide, a feat
You do so readily....making them shine.
A smile I can't wipe off, how you enshrine
Yourself so easily in my thoughts, replete
Delightfully with YOU, happy conceit.
How inexplicably my heart entwine
In yours. Those little things you do each day
YOU make me worth so much, and thus are you
Worth more than anything, and you hold sway
O'er my affections, loves and likes, subdue
My heart in some mysterious sure way,
So that, dear Valentine, I love you....too!

We love Him because He first loved us....and so on amongst guys and girls too.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I couldn't have done it but for the briefest taste of "love" that I've gotten for the short time I've been here, which enabled my imagination to take flight for this crazy series of Valentines to nobody, with hopefully a very serious touch of reality even though there is no Romeo....! Like the cool spelling of the title...maybe a little like silly candy hearts?
