Hitting the Rapids

StormyDay

Let us make a promise right here and now

To never give up, to never let go

Life gets harder, but I'll make you a vow

I'll give you a love like you'll never know

'Till now the river's flow has been sluggish

But now here we are hitting the rapids

I search for a star and I make a wish

That time would slow, but we're no longer kids

I know we can make it through this some way

The road is treacherous, but we'll get there

Because love conquers all, or so they say

Whatever happens, I will always care

So let's just take this one step at a time

We'll scale it, though it will be a long climb

Excellent! You've sweetly depicted the determination of growing true love. I love how well you've done it with your symbolism. Beautiful!!
