My Rock

Christina8

We've been through more

hardships these last few years

Both the deaths of our moms

and the shedding of tears

You've always been there for me

so reliable and steady

Even when you didn't have to be

you were at the ready

You've been my rock in the storm

My beacon in the night

Always there to hold

As a good husband might

But true love prevailed like

it always does in the end

Through thick and through thin

you are my very best friend

Lovely tribute to your MAN ~ CHRIS. He has all the best attributes a good husband should have ~ I hope I prove as good as him ! The SUBJECT is divine ~ and the structure is elegant. You are a good role model for those who post sloppy poetry ! Heavenly Hugs ~ BRIAN

And, you are his, as well. Very sad about the losses of both parents. That is tough, and for the grandkids as well. Very thoughtful, Christina!

I woke up today without a poem. And I write about him a lot, but we go through things too. And I am there for him too as you said. Yeah, tough on all. Thanks for your thoughtful reply!

Yes, marriage involves a fair, and sometimes not fair, amount of give and take. You are very welcome!

Super stuff - I have a photo of my mum and dad in my dressing room and I say hello whenever I go in there - maybe daft but it makes me feel so close to them and them to me - now there's an angle for a poem I feel coming on.

Can relate. My wife is the best thing that ever happened to me. I feel so badly for people that don't have that in their relations. Nicely done.
