  • Comment from author about the poem: KENTUCKY is a Beautiful American State to visit in any Season of the Year. Picturesque rivers ~ lakes ~ waterfalls and mountains. Kentucky Derby in May and lots of Festivals ~ BBQ ~ Bourbon ~ Blue Grass Music etc. Very friendly people and excellent Accommodation and Restaurants everywhere ! Kentucky was the 15th State to be added to the Union in 1792 so it has a long (225 years) and proud History. It has the World's longest cave system (Mammoth Cave). It is very accessible because it borders seven other States ~ West Virginia ~ Virginia ~ Tennessee ~ Missouri ~ Illinois ~ Indiana and Ohio ! Kentucky Fried Chicken has a unique flavor and was developed by Colonel Harland Sanders 87 years ago and is now available at 20,000 KFC Restaurants Worldwide. If you like KFC you will want to visit KENTUCKY ~ ENJOY ! ~ Comments welcome ~ BRIAN XOX

Another well crafted piece Brian - I often wonder where they all come from - an active and fertile mind I guess

Hi Michael ~ Well I often compose the POEMS before I go to bed which is about 6pm USA (MPS) time and then post them in the Morning. Thanks for your comment ~ BRIAN

Well FRIEND if you have never been to AMERICA you haven't lived. In a State like KENTUCKY (or TENNESSEE) you get a glimpse of the OLD AMERICA before it all becomes one big MALL ! Thanks BRIAN

THANKS CHRIS ~ Because of the UK's very close links with the USA ~ I see every State as unique different and special. I was asked to give a talk on the USA in general ~ BUT ~ I asked if I could focus on one STATE ~ they said OK ~ so I chose KENTUCKY because to me it was very representative. Hence my Poem and Fusion ~ OK. Thanks for your encouraging comment ~ HUGS ~ BRIAN
