A few hours well spent...
I've just done a favour for my daughter today,
Dropped off a writing desk, to a couple not far away.
So happy they were to receive this writing table,
To help with daughters drawing,to make her more able.
A sad face the father had, when relaying a story to me,
he couldn't pick it up, as his car wouldn't start you see.
I said I'll have a look, as I've worked on cars in the past,
Upon checking the vehicle, I said the cars problem won't last.
He said can you fix it, I would be so thankfully,
I said of course I can, it's only your battereee.
How can i repay, this kindness you've made,
A day out with my family, you have now definitely saved.
I said your happiness now,is all I can see,
if I were in the same boat,I'd hope someone would help me.

Hi P. H. Rose, Your wonderful expression is how we in the world should be...kind to others. Nicely done!
Thank you Corey..
You are right, the feeling you get from helping or giving is awesome. Nicely done.
Thanks Augustus
lovely story and it gives a great start to the week.
Thanks Michael I thought that to..
Very cheeful message and I am sure you were very appreciated by all!
For the last 4-5 years I love
Doing things for other people
I get a real kick out of helping.
Prior to those years I was a
very selfish human being...
My grandson changed me..
your poetry is very touching and brought tears to my eyes.....the tears came after reading your poem and then seeing your comment about how your grandson changed you. in never ceases to amaze me how much you love your children and grandchildren, and how you give so much credit to them, when you could take all of the credit for yourself. you are wonderful and the poem is a reminder that each and every day we should think of doing something for another :0)
Now you've made me cry...
Thank you Jane for that
Beautiful comment...
If you actually knew me
As my family do, you would
Know I never put my self
In front... I really do have a
Problem with self worth..
Again thanks for those
Lovely words...
