I WORE A HAT !

BRIAN & ANGELA

I wore me CYCLE HAT on Monday

Ridin' on me bike

I wore me EAR-MUFF HAT on Tuesday

Goin' for a hike

I wore me CAP on Wednesday

The middle of me week

Me CAP ~ a hat that's really flat

With a mega full-on peak

I wore me WOOLLY HAT on Thursday

When the wind was wild an' cold

I wore me FOOTBALL BOBBLE HAT

On Friday ~ cos I was feelin' bold

I wear NO HAT on Saturday

A really doesn't matter day

I always wear a HAT on Sunday

A HAT that's BLACK & HOLY

But I take it off ~ my HAT i doff

When I'm eatin' GUACAMOLE

          I Like this Brian
          I'm a child of the
          Sixties, from old
          Terrace house
          Stock so my
          Hat has to be
          A flat cap....

Thanks FRIEND ~ I love the LOWERY Factory Gates ~ paintings ~ Every Mancunian in his flat-cap ~ awesome ~ Yours BRIAN

Well GF ~ there is a moral here. Confucius he say: Better to be a "figure of fun" than have a cold and exposed cranium ! Yours BRIAN

I saw a very big cat wearing a flamboyant the other day. I think it was a dandy lion! Good fun poem.

Thanks PHILIP ~ for your very droll reply ! Paradoxically ~ despite their practicality ~ HATS are always objects of amusement ! Yours BRIAN

Like your poem and rhyme about hats but I don't own one. Great write about hats!! (We generally do not wear too many hats in america except for winter ones) Hugs christina

Thanks CHRIS - Hats are much more important in the UK. Schoolboys ~ caps & boaters ~ Workmen ~ cloth caps & hard hats ~ Managers ~ trilbys and Bosses ~ bowler hats ! Toffs ~ Top hats. Ladies wear hats for Church & Weddings and on Ladies Day at Ascot & Aintree ~ Horse Racing. When a Footballer is seleceted for his Country he receives a CAP with a tassle and of course Academics wear Mortar Boards. Motor Cyclists must wear a crash helmet and Show Jumpers etc Police must wear their hats to make an arrest. Thanks for sharing ~ Hugs for you from the Mad Hatter ~ BRIAN.

Hats and me have never agreed but I love to imagine all those differing reasons for getting ahead.... ha ha - a great read Brian.

Thanks for your comment FAY ~ your hair is your Glory ! However you know just how fussy Men are about wearing the right headgear ~ for the right occasion. The Ladies have their day at Formal Weddings and of course Ladies Day at the Races ! Yours B

Thanks WILLY ~ I'm UK so the DOFF would be appropriate ! There are also lots of myths and fables about Hats. HOWEVER I know from experience in PUEBLA ~ That MEXICANS ~ dance on your HAT ! They put castanets on and danced on my Stetson ~ then just so you know ~ they grabbed my CHAPEAU ~ and stomped on it 'til it was flat ~ I asked my Dad ~ he said "SI ES VERDAD " Mexicans dance on your HAT ~ and that's that ! Gracias por tu commentario ~ BRIAN
