Soap And Water

WriteBeLight

May I ask,

A favor, small.

A little something,

Not much at all.

It’s been a while,

Week and a half,

Since you’ve washed,

You need a bath.

I just want,

To run and hide.

When you come close,

It’s like low tide.

Might splash perfume,

No, don’t bother.

Won’t do the job,

Like soap and water.

How can anyone,

Just not bathe?

I’m pleading with you,

Please, just behave.

I sympathize,

For you, no fun.

You’re just a puppy,

Rather play and run.

So, get in the tub,

And, soak a while.

You’ll feel much better,

My nose will smile.

We’ll brush your teeth,

Dry with a towel,

You’ll look great,

And, fresh not foul.

Squeaky clean hounds are the best kind! My greyhound hated her bath, but she was a real patient pet. Thanks Kevin!

Thanks for caring HONEY ! Cats lick themselves clean but Dogs can be a problem. Always use a Baby Shampoo ~ Dogs don't like soap in their eyes ! Hugs BRIAN

Thanks Dear Brian. I really liked washing my greyhound. She was so polite and appreciated the towel drying afterwards! She would then run around so happy!

At first I thought it was some one at the office. Yes dogs can have a bad odor especially when wet.love the line " my nose will smile".

                        • WriteBeLight

Thanks Augustus! I know from what you have said that you love your dogs that are able to run free. Me, myself was not so worried about how my greyhound smelled. I heard it from family members that she needed a bath, but none would volunteer to give her one. So, I did so every Saturday morning. She felt like feeling so refreshed. I could tell. I love and miss her a lot. Thanks Augustus!
