- Comment from author about the poem: OCTOPUSES are fascinating creatures. Thy are very intelligent and have no skeleton so the can squeeze (flow) through very small crevices. Thy are carnivores and. love crabs. Large male species (ENTEROCTOPUS) can weigh 50 pounds and have FOUR foot tentacles. They generally live in coral reefs. Small octopus ~ calamari ~ are a food delicacy. Scuba divers tell me they are amazing to see in the wild ! They are all venomous and can change colour to blend into the background. They pay a much bigger price than humans for reproduction ! Males die within a few months of mating and females shortly after incubating the eggs ! Comments welcome ~ OCTAPUSSY XOX

Brian this is a very good acrostic and reverse acrostic. Octopuses are, as you say, fascinating creatures and although I have only seen a captive one and those on the television they never cease to amaze.
