- Comment from author about the poem: Humans are born with wanderlust an we all want to go "Walkabout" Today we have the opportunity to travel anywhere on Earth and soon to the Moon ! All you need is the Free Time and Money. In my opinion "Money spent on Holidays abroad is always money well spent !" Also today many people have the opportunity to live and work in a Foreign Country. Members of my extended Family have lived in America ~ Canada ~ Australia ~ New Zealand ~ India ~ Mexico and a range of European Countries. They have all greatly benefitted from the experience and some have not moved back to the UK ! To those of us ~ born and raised in England ~ living in Wales or Scotland or Northern island is quite a culture shock initially ! My American Friends tell me that moving to another State (i.e. from IOWA to TEXAS !) is like moving to another Planet ! Comments welcome ~ where do you dream of going for a VACATION ? Love to all BRIAN XOX

Well that is very true my Friend I have lived in North South and Middle England and spent much time in Scotland ~ Wales and Northern Ireland ! I do get cross with Brits who enthuse about Spain & Italy but have never visited the English Lake District. We are fortunate to have such Beauty and Variety and Glory on our doorstep ! When we were in Eastern Canada ~ two Men fell down a crevice into a Gaciar and froze to death and a Father and his Son (camping) were killed by a Grizzly Bear ~ all vacation destinations have their dangers ! Thanks HONEY ~ We would all like to travel more but as you say ~ it is expensive in both time and money Europe has an amazing variety of Countries & Culture and it very accessible from the UK more difficult from The Americas and Australia etc. Everywhere is getting more cosmopolitan ~ food & culturewise ~ and there are now virtual reality films instead of travelling ! A man well traveled. Some of our cities today in the US are like visiting foreign countries like China Town in San Francisco or the Korean section of Los Angeles. Nicely done.
tHANKS "A" i'VE NOTICED THAT ~ and of course the HISPANICISATION of sonme of the Southern States as the % of Hispanics increases ! Spanish Churches ~ Newspapers and in San Diego in the SUPAMARKET ~ more people checking out in Spanish than English ~ THE MELTING POT ~ has arrived ! BRIAN
