My Depression

Christina8

I can't remember when

I felt so low and lonely

No reason to be sad

All my problems seem huge, only

insurmountable and not worth it

My depression is eating me alive

With the weather getting worse

it's just taking a dive

Doing daily tasks seems like

an impossible mountain climb

It was all I could do to

make a poem today that rhymed

I don't want to show-off with my poems, and it depends if you have any religious/spiritual belief - but see my poems if you wish, if they bring any comfort to you maybe?

                Depression treats us
                In different ways
                And different days
                March the first, official
                Day of spring, it's when
                The first real sunlight
                Jumps right in...
                Great poem Chrissy
                I like it very much....
                Treat depression like
                An old coat, some days
You carnt help but wear it
                On all the others put
                It in the cupboard....
To better days .... cheers !!

It helps to write about it. Nicely done. A warm hug.

Thank you Augustus! I appreciate the hug!

Hey Christina. I saw this post, but got interrupted and did not respond. I made a note to be sure that I returned to read your poem. You always have such cheery things to say to every fellow poet. I am sorry that the season is tough on you this time of year. I think you should try to pamper yourself. Do something for only you. I usually shop for a cheap pair of ear rings. Now, my drawer is loaded with ear rings. But, each brought me joy. So, I am hoping you will feel better, now that March is here. Have a great week kiddo!

Thanks so much for your support! March is really hard on me. But I will try to take your advice and pamper myself. Thanks again!
