It used to be 5 Fruit OR Veggies a day ~ Now the doctors
are saying TEN ! 5 Fruit AND 5 Veggies each day !
CARROTS ~ god for you
help you to see in the dark
as bright as a spark !
CABBAGE is sad they
say ~ has its heart in its head and
stands on one leg ~ all day !
PARNSNIPS are white and
very sweet ~ easy to cook
and yummy to eat !
PEAS are veggies sent
from GOD ~ to keep them fresh He
put them in a pod !
Never demesne the
'umble POTATO ~ chipped ~ boiled
or fried they're really great~O

I like your five haikus too Brian - good for 5-a-day. Must add that if only I could eat 10 a day I would need a much larger stomach. But then it all depends on the size of the portions.

I agree too much meat turns you (back) into an animal. In the BIBLE Daniel ~ Shadrach ~ Meshac and Abednego only ate Fruit & Veg and it made them fire-proof and insatiable to Lions ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN

YES TONY ~ It's very important to have fresh veggies (or fresh frozen ?). Left at room temperature too long ~ veggies lose some of their nutrients ! BRIAN

Good write, I eat any veg and fruit and meat and anything else that is put in front of me. BUT I am a great believer in everything in moderation.
