hate or fear

Alexia Bishop

Do I fear

Or do I hate

I hate that I fear you

I fear the blow

I hate the fear I show

The satisfaction in your face

The love you show

When you raise your fist

To my body

I wait for the blow

but ..why are you waiting

The sick twisted fantasy

That you just want

To come to life

But with me here

I might be letting you

Play the fantasy

But how do I fight back

I fear that I hate you

I am scared to hate

Just as I am to love

If I hate then that makes me like you

At least to what am told

So do I

do i hate or do i fear you

WELCOME ALEXIA ~Thanks for your first poem ~ which is very confessional ~ i trust you found it cathartic. As we look back on ou lives we all remember abuse (so we are empathetic) and how we responded to it. Perfect love casts out fear ~ my response was always LOVE and it made me stronger. As you say HATE only makes us worse and ~ like our abusers. You will find MPS a very supportive site ! Thinking of you ~ Yours BRIAN (UK). Please check my poems ~ Thanks B
