As I lay in bed my mind cleared
And into it flowed words,
Words to write on this page.
Each one so meaningful,
They were of love,
Love for all around me.
My wife and family,
Always there for me,
As I am for them.
The glory of nature,
As I walk with it in its realm
Can be written
With the words in my mind.
Words that can bring bad and good to all,
But which must be used to bring good,
To this broken world.
The words are there to bring peace
To end the suffering of others,
To end all the tragedy around us.
The words are there,
All those in power need to do,
Is use the right ones,
And maybe the world will be saved.

Thank you HLP, much appreciated.
Oh words - and so well expressed - I love stretching and manipulating words but get so annoyed when they are misused - no such problems here.
Thank you Michael.

So very true. Thank you.
Words, I need no words,.... from Neighbours, Corrie, and all that rubbish! lol. ''Soap' opera gets in your eyes!
" It's only words and words are all I have, " from a song lost in my memory, but your words here are what we all wish could be, a world at peace with love and harmony. Poets of the world unite!! Loved this one. - Phil A.
Thank you so much Phil.
Indeed, the power of words can really transform & destroy. Your thought capture what each of us think about as we come to this page to open up and impact the live of all who read our words. Great write and impactful.
Thank you so much.
Thanks GF ~ I agree. We need to be inspired to write fine words (as you have done) and to be complimentary and supportive in our comments. "When e'er I find just the right word ~ the PEN is always mightier than the sword !" Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN
