UNWANTED ~ STRANGERS ON THE SHORE ~ HORRIBLE
P LASTIC BOTTLES are a curse
L YING on the sidewalks ~ tossed aside
A ND ending in the Ocean ~ which is worse
S TUPID Litter Louts ~ no Civic pride
T AKE your bottle home ~ and then recycle
I always put mine inside the plastic bin ~ TAKE
C ARE ~ please don't take the Michael ~ or Ill pop YOU in the BIN !
B OTTLES for this ~ BOTTLES for that
O NE day I'll find they've bottled the cat
T HIRTY FIVE million bottles a day ~ half
T HROWN AWAY ~ and that's just the UK !
L ITTER LOUTS should all be locked away.
E XCESS of 500 billion bottles each year
SAD they don't BIODEGRADE ~ they are ALL STILL HERE !

plastic in the oceans today ~ more tomorrow. Please

- Comment from author about the poem: Personally I love the lightness ~ the convenience ~ the transparency ~ the safety (compared with glass) of plastic bottles. Unlike Plastic Bags they can't (for obvious reasons) be biodegradable in water or seawater ! Please remember this ~ don't just DUMP THEM ~ RECYCLE ! At least my picture has a "Bin for Bottles" but it is much too small and obviously not emptied regularly l This just adds insult to injury ! Where I live we recycle. And depending on the company, some make you pay a deposit of 5 or 10 cents so you return the bottle to the grocery store. Mostly applies to pop and energy drinks but some flavored waters too. It works out great! Great job on this acrostic! Hugs--Christina
THANKS CHRIS ~ Yes we do try to recycle especially the large plastic 4 pint milk bottles ! Buta lot still end up in the Countryside and the Oceans. We have special plastic boxes for Glass ~ Plastic ~ Cans and bags for paper. Pleased you liked the POEM ~ Happy Hugs ~ BRIAN
