I was saved from death!
A herd of horses were charging at me
When suddenly the glorious sound of a robin
Woke me from my dream.
I lay there listening to the song,
The beautiful song of the bird.
Such a small creature
But such a loud sound,
Whose voice showed me the Glory,
The Glory of this world,
Where even horses are gentle.

They sing at night, sometimes, here in the New England Summer time. Glad he woke you from the bad dream to a beautiful song and new day Goldfinch!
Thank you WBL. Robins are the first bird to sing in the mornings and the last bird to sing at night.
Also one of the most promiscuous of birds so they've got a lot to sing about. Good read and well written.
Thank you Michael and very true.
Really. Well i never.
Good write. Why were those horses charging at you? I can't get all psychological about it this time of the morning. I shall only get another headache for thinking too much!
Doh! A guy was less sympathetic. He said 'I will ******** kill that dawn chorus, keep waking me up!' oohh.
The dawn chorus is wondrous.
wild horses? was you listening to the stones before bed? the birds wake me every morning, unless the dog starts barking first? enjoyed this nightmare goldfinch
Thank you WW, I do enjoy hearing the birds in the morning.
Thanks BROTHER ~ Horses in dreams represent energy and the image can be positive or negative ! If they are charging at you ~ they can indicate "trouble ahead". Robins are symbols of faithfulness and calm ~ it indicates that someone (or an Angel) is watching over you ! Thanks for sharing ~ so graphically ! BRIAN
Thank you Brian. Did not know that about a robin.
The robin's song is a glorious sound I am glad it started your day so positively and you were able to portray it so well. Phil.G
Thank you Phil much appreciated.
What a wonderful write. And a nice way to wake up and start your day--with a chorus of a robins song to listen to.
Thank you Christina. It is a great way to wake up.
Oh, nice one. A dream gone astray, or like you said , maybe a rescue, or maybe there are herds of gentle horses. I always await the return of robins to the trees, I then know spring has arrived and I can put away the shovel, and bring out the garden tools. You got me thinking spring thoughts. Thank you. - Phil A.
Thank you Phil. Spring thoughts are good, new life abounds around us.
