There will be no General Election she said!
She insisted, really insisted that it will not happen!
Then she said it again!
And again!
And again!
And again!
Then once more!
Six times she said it,
There will be no snap election!
So what does she do?
She calls an election!
Where is the trust in this woman?
Where is the trust in any politician?
It all comes back to a question,
A question I often ask:
“How do you know when a politician is lying?”
“Their lips move!”

Gave me a smile but I must say am pleased she has called it - I might be in the minority on this one but whatever your views on Brexit the country voted and its now up to us to get the best deal we possibly can. Brexit is a cross party issue and it has been grieving me that the other parties instead of working with the Government to achieve the best deal have been constantly sniping and bitching effectively undermining the process. Lets hope that a definitive result will enable the PM (whoever that is) to negotiate from a position of strength rather than weakness as is the current case.
I agree with what you say Michael, it does need sorting out but as in all politics in this day and age not many of them have the views of the electorate in mind, they want do do what is best for themselves.
Thanks for the comment.
I thought the PM was a fiery character. But does not seem as tough as Maggie was. Maybe we'll see, whoever we end up with.
WOW ANDY ~ You are cross this Morning ~ especially with MOTHER THERESA ! I am not a TORY ~ BUT ~ I believe she is the best POLITICIAN to lead us out of EUROPE (with a minimum of fuss) and she is worth following ! You know more about the DAUGHTERS of EVE than I do ~ but in my (limited) book she didn't LIE ~ she just changed her mind ~ which is every Lady's prerogative. She's still at the top of my Prayer List ~ is she still at the top of yours ? BLESSINGS ~ Brother BRIAN
Wow indeed, I just have an aversion and very little respect for current politicians, they do not listen to those for whom they were elected. I will now climb down off my soapbox.
I will still pray for the Country and the World in the hope that one day somebody will come and fix our world and we know who that will be Brian, do we not?
Blessings.
I agree with the lips moving line. So very true!
Thank you WBL.
Thank you Diamond, the last two lines say it all.
If I were describing you to a stranger, I’d start by telling them about your integrity… that I would hand you my wallet and never think twice.
Thank you so much Lamar, so kind.
It was my pleasure.
