E very Year we have another one ~ You can
C ount them on one hand ~ Scottish Independence
T wo general Elections ~ Local Elections & Brexit !
I can cope with ONE but FIVE is just too much !
O ne asks why ? Well Theresa May (our PM) wants the
N ation's approval to empower her for BREXIT
S evering our links with Europe is a painful DIVORCE !

The reason why we are having another General Election
just two years after the last one must be confusing to
Americans and others ! Surely Theresa May is the elected
Prime Minister of the UK and she has a majority of EIGHT !
TRUE but she wasn't elected by by the PEOPLE but by the
PARTY ~ and EIGHT is too small a majority to ensure a safe
passage of the very difficult Brexit negotiations. The current
UK political climate suggests she would increase her majority
to over 100 seats in the 6th of June 2017 General Election !

Well put together Brian.
It is a shock ~ but I really admire THERESA for stepping up to the plate ~ when DAVID jumped ship ! I fully support her reasons and PRIME MINISTERSHIP even though I am not a TORY. What is your opinion / impression of her ? Remember she is not a LIAR ~ just a Lady changing her mind ! BRIAN
Fully agree - she's not a liar and is the only politician on the scene with the steel to (hopefully) sort out Brexit. And I'm not a tory either but can't bring myself to vote for the current Labour shambles.
David was the author of his own downfall. Having declared the election he should have stood back and overseen the non-party election process as a responsible PM. Had he done that he would still be PM. Instead, he actively campaigned on behalf of the Remainers (in fact he led them) and had little option but to resign as he would have held no credence leading the Brexit negotiations with Europe. Theresa kept her tinder dry and was able to step into his shoes.
It's all very complicated, my brain can't handle it haha. Anyway good poem!

Thanks ANDY ~ for your forthright comment ~ However please use your vote ~ people all over the World have died to secure democratic voting rights. A low turnout (less than 50%) would be an insult to Theresa ~ who is leading the UK positively ~ for such a time as this ~ OK ~ BRIAN
