- Comment from author about the poem: Most of ENGLAND's great forests have been sacrificed fir timber & fuel ! However enough remain ~ Oak ~ Ash ~ Pine ~ to remind us of the beauty and majesty of each individual living tree ! The provide unique habitats ~ and sustenance ~ for our unique flora & fauna & insectivora. Blossom in Spring ~ full foliage and fruit in Summer ~ a kaleidoscope of colour in Autumn and skeletal in Winter festooned with snow and glittering icicles. Who needs a plastic Christmas Tree ? Please adopt and hug a listed tree and preserve and conserve our remaining woodlands ~ AMEN Thanks for reading ~ Love to All ~ BRIAN

Welcome
Good write and proper haiku as they talk about nature.
Thanks ANDY ! As you know I am a CLASSICAL POET and I like my HAIKU to be about nature ~ and (ideally) an English HAIKU should have 17 syllables arranged in a 5~7~5 triplet. I like people to try HAIKU & SENRYU (not about nature !) and TANKAS (57577) etc ~ BUT ~ there is a lot of Poetic Licence on MPS ~ BRIAN
Oh I loved the picture of the weeping willow and the haiku. I am surrounded by trees so I loved your Haiku. All of them! Nice job! Hugs-Christina

I am not a skilled writer. My techniques and phrasing is all raw and rough. I may learn a thing or two from you. I have enjoyed your writings. I too love nature and everything she has to offer me. There was a time where I was rather lost (emotionally) and when I drove by this field a lone tree stood proud. That moment changed me. I found peace in the chaos that was my life. I found the path to finding myself. Their are few that would understand that. She is my spirit that i must follow.
