  • Comment from author about the poem: The Pyramids at GIZA (Egypt) are 4500 years old and the only one of the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" still standing. They were built by Slave Labour using only manpower and primitive technology. There have been several films to give some idea as to how they were erected. See WILLYWEED'S comment that they may have been built by ALIENS ! They were elaborate Sepulchers for the Pharaohs. The three shown are: The Great Pyramid (CHEOPS) ~ Pyramid of KHAFRE ~ Pyramid of MENKAURE. Thanks for reading ~ Comments welcome ~ Love to All ~ BRIAN XOX

Thanks ANDY ~ Having a "Travel wish list" encourages one to keep saving and keep going ! From the UK its costs between £2 & 3 thousand depending on how long you stay. I'm going to CUBA in June with the College as a Tutor ~ Translator and Guardian so it will only cost me about £250 ~ but I will have to work hard ! Must get the College History / Geography Faculty to plan an Educational Tour of Egypt ! Yours BRIAN

See the pyramids along the Nile?
you really think they were built with primitive tools and slave labor? I think they are to precise and mysterious for that explanation?
I would like to visit as well!. nice one Brian!

Thanks Willy ~ There are those ~ like Von Danikan ~ who think the Egyptians had the help of ALIEN TECNOLOGY to build them ! However those who excavate them and speculate on their erection stick to Science Fact not Science Fiction ! Yours bRIAN

Once again technology defeats me. I really enjoy your "shape" poems. I know they'll have a more technical name.

I've not been there either - doubt if I'll ever make it now given the turmoil in the whole North African region.

Thanks MIZZY ~ The styles and genre of POETRY are limitless. This is called a CONTOUR POEM because it has shape ! If the shape can be related to the subject ~ that is bonus ~ pleased it intrigued you ~ Yours BRIAN :o]
