It was just one of thoses days LORD
I think I should have stayed in bed !
Everything I did ~ was half done
Everything I said ~ came out wrong
Seemed to be in every one's way
LORD I really do need your help !
I really do want to succeed
I want my Students to like me
I want the Staff to respect me
I want to be a good witness
For you LORD ! To shine like MOSES
Make my workplace ~ a place of JOY
I need you LORD to lift me up
And help me to SHINE on MONDAY !
Thanks for reading ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX

- Comment from author about the poem: Teaching at any level is a very important Job ! It is enjoyable (especially Further education 16+) but it does have it stresses ~ especially for Primary & Secondary Teachers if the classes are too big and they haven't got the resources. Please pray for all our Teachers everywhere ~ from Nursery Teachers right up to the University Lecturers ~ they all need our support. Education is the key to success for all our Young People everywhere. They are the NEXT GENERATION ~ AMEN. Comments welcome ~ Love to All ~ BRIAN XOX

A true write. Sometimes I 'drift' a bit in the week. All ready for Monday. But how am I for Friday too, for example?
Thanks STEVEN ~ more so on a FRIDAY ~ HELP ~ BRIAN
As you will appreciate I can't relate but I do appreciate the sentiments so well expressed.
Thanks for your appreciation MICHAEL ~ Those of us who do "Know GOD" really do appreciate His support ~ YOURS BRIAN
I swing my feet out of bed and I pray to God . That way everyday starts out on a high note . Then right atter coffee I read a chapter or two of the Bible and a commentary and I feel no matter what I've made my day . I almost became a teacher but decided I didn't have the grit and guts and selfish sacrifice it takes to make a good teacher . And it pains me , gut wrenching it is , to see the cuts in funding for education . Because you then get rulers who know nothing proclaiming they and they alone can fix everything .
Thanks FRIEND ~ I empathise with the start to your day. A Teacher's lot used to be a haoy one but ~ changes in the curriculum ~ cuts ~ Teen angst and an over-demanding OFSTED have taken a lot of joy and satisfaction out of the job. In my experience the 16+ Vocational Sector (FE/HE Colleges) is the best. We teach students who want to be in College ~ subjects they want to learn ! No discipline problems and fail-safe qualifications BTEC & GNVQ etc. WE DON'T NEED TRIDENT ~ THAT MONEY COULD BE RELEASED FOR EDUCATION AND THE NHS ~ BRIAN
