NATURAL THREAT

Michael Edwards

NATURAL THREAT

Black clouds

Danger threatens

Frenzied winds blow inland

Turbulent seas thrash the shoreline

Rain falls

Gale strikes

Sea levels rise

Waves breach the embankment

Emergency measures actioned

Tempest

Storm wanes

Flooding subsides

Violent winds moderate

Sludge and detritus line the roads

Clouds drift

Thanks MICHAEL ~ love the flow and shape of this form (2 4 6 8 2) it is very appropriate to the subject of the poem ! Love the painting ~ Trees are great "role models" and survive awful conditions ~ because they are rooted and grounded in LOVE (Earth) ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN Please check my Flower Poem & Fusion ~ Thanks B.

      Thanks Brian. Cinquain?

      • BRIAN & ANGELA

Yes indeed CINQUAIN ~ Five lines in 2 4 6 8 2 syllables and they end up very arboreal ! BRIAN

A fine write and pic M. Dunno about that 'xylophagous' stuff from EC. I might swoon if I knew what it meant! lol.
