LIMERICK 25

There wath an old man from Leith

whoth garden wath covered in tweeth.

In thummer he thaid:

‘They protecteth my head

but in autumn they lootheth their leath’.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Limerick plus Gnome cartoon. I assume you have garden gnomes in the States - usually concrete but some cheap plastic ones on the market.

Thanks - the little bug is Cedric - he pops up in most of the cartoons.

Great job Michael. The drawing is very cute. I do not have any gnomes. I do have a gargoyle that protects my home. He has been around for a long time and has made it through many, many winters.

Actually gnomes are a bit tacky but I do have a soft spot for Barrington and Athelstan.

There was a young poet called Ted
Who made up Lim'ricks in 'is 'ed
        Some were quite good
        Others less clear than mud
        Some were better left unread.
Thanks for sharing Michael another good one ! BRIAN
