  • Comment from author about the poem: In my experience People who work in the Caring Professions al have great PATIENCE because healing and caring is a sow process ! That is why when we are admiited to Hospital we are designated as a PATIENT ! If I break mny leg I have to be PATIENT and CAREFUL while it heals and OBEY the Medical Staff who are caring for me. We live in an INSTANT AGE when everybody wants everything YESTERDAY ! I am always very PATIENT with everybody but especially with Children ~ Teens ~ The Infirm and Disabled and The Elderly. PATIENCE was an important part of my Training as a Teacher ~ A Councillor ~ A Community Worker ~ A Church Worker etc. Comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX

I take care of my invalid mother who is almost 92 . I have been since 2010 . And of all the tools , skills , and sets of knowledge patience is the key to holding everything together .

My folk tell me I'm so laid back I'm almost upside down. Mind you I do get a tad impatient behind elderly drivers who insist on travelling at 20mph slower than the speed limit - and they're usually actually younger than me !!

Very wise poem. We should be patient with all fellow mankind. If we could just slow down like you said we'd be less anxious and more balanced. Great topic! Hugs-Christina

Thanks ANGEL Lovely to get a comment from you ! YES indeed ~ Most of my students are Younger than me so ihave to speed up but we do provide lunches etc for Seniors and they have to be treated slowly and with lots of TLC. For tomorrows group I am responsible for a quiz after they have enjoyed lunch ~ some eat very slowly ! Doing a QUIZ with Seniors need a lot of patience ~ I have written a set of QUESTIONS for each TABLE so I don't have to read them out !

                Hugs BRIAN
