A fine hymn-poem B. I recognised the hymn on which it is based. Sometimes I may take almost entire lines, or may aim to adapt some lines of Scripture and/or lines of hymns. I just feel drawn more to traditional type hymns. Not to rubbish the modern though.
TtHANKS STEVEN ~ GRAHAM KENDRICK is a Spirit Led Composer ~ in the style of CHARLES WESLEY and FANNY CROSBY and others ! With Songs like Servant King ~ Such Love etc there is a perfect symbiosis between the WORDS and the MUSIC ~ Holy Men (and Ladies) of God composed as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. Graham's are equally loved (and sung) right across all denominations ~ AMEN Yours BRIAN

Thanks MICHAEL I love the Poetic Structure of the original Hymn on which it is based A rhyming TRIPLET followed in each case bu a non-rhyming response ! In notation it would be aaaB cccB dddB etc. I altered it slight ly to get 14 lines ~ because I love SONNETS ! We had a rule about Love Sonnets (when we were in the Sixth Form) ~ If you can't express your LOVE in a SONNET (!4 lines) then it can't be True Love ~ Yours BRIAN
The message radiates loud and clear . Reminds me of Psalms 136 .

I am not sure why but I always thought of it in reverse, that God, Christ loved us, me. Just recently have I come to the love for Christ. Thanks.
