  • Comment from author about the poem: I know MANCHESTER well and it is a Great City to visit and study in. It is a City of Culture and Sport with a Famous Orchestra (The Halle) famous groups (like OASIS) and two of th best Football (Soccer) Teams in the Universe ~ MANCHESTER UNITED & MANCHESTER CITY ! Citizens of the North of England ~ Like Mancunians and its neighbours ~ Liverpudlians ~ are noted for their Sense of Humour ~ Friendliness and love of Culture. The motto and spirit to overcome and recover ~ from this Atrocity is MANCHESTER LOVE ~ Please pray that LOVE will overcome EVIL ~ AMEN ~ Love BRIAN XOX

Thanks B. I'm miles from there, but it's stinging, painful, sorrowful. Well, we don't laugh if a wasp stings us. 'Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted'.

No other word I can think of fits better than the word grief . Grieving , griefstricken . But as you say we must forgive as God forives us . But the grief remains .

Beautiful what a beautiful poem for Manchester I have friends who live in Manchester so I understand what many are going through luckily my friends weren't near the bomb. I hope others who weren't as lucky as me stay strong.

Another fine write for the grieving city - so pleased to see the leaders of ALL religious beliefs (and none) coming out so strongly to declare their abhorrence.

THANKS SHANNON ~ Yes she is a beautiful CITY and I just felt (as I know her so well !) I should add another tribute. We are all a bit happier tonight because the Soccer Team ~ MANCHESTER UNITED ~ went to STOCKHOLM (Sweden) tonight and beat AJAX 2 : 0 to win the Europa Cup. They said they did it of the injured and bereaved and to restore Manchester's Pride ~ AMEN Yhanks for your comments ~ Yours BRIAN XX

A good write for this sad event. The Mancunians are strong and their love and strength is being shown as they deal with the horror of this hideous attack.
